Jorge Diaz emigrated from Cuba to the United States. Just before his eighteenth birthday, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. Shortly after his graduation from high school, Jorge left the Miami area to serve four years in the United States Air Force. Stationed near Little Rock, Arkansas, he served as an instructor to aircrew personnel.
Upon his honorable discharge from the military, Jorge returned to Hialeah, Florida, to fulfill his life-long dream of becoming a police officer. Upon vesting with over 10 years of service, he temporarily left full-time police work and answered the Lord's call to minister as a Police Chaplain, founding Officer of The Lord Ministries. Jorge served an additional twelve years as a police sergeant in West Miami.
Under the spiritual leadership of his pastors, and years of devoted study, Jorge discovered the many benefits that accompanied his salvation. I [Jesus] am come that they may have life, and have it more abundantly were not meaningless, red-lettered words found in John 10:10. From Genesis to Revelation, abundant life was clearly outlined for God's children. Of particular interest to Jorge were the promises guaranteeing God’s protection and deliverance from all harm (Luke 10:19). Knowing that Christians were supposed to finish the race set before them, Jorge was driven to share such blessed assurances.
Jorge Diaz has continued to serve as a Senior Chaplain, credentialed by the International Conference of Police Chaplains (ICPC). He is also a licensed minister through the International Convention of Faith Ministries (ICFM). Chaplain Diaz is a graduate of Life Christian University, having received an Advanced Diploma in Theology. His book, Your Shield and Buckler, is an extensive training manual covering all of God's provisions for divine protection.
